"If it would cost Apple 20 million per month to replace it was an inferior substitute, it has to be worth at least that much, multiplied by the number of months is has been operative. That would easily eclipse the original award."
So the obvious question is, for how long has Cupertino fruit company been infringing?
If the answer is 18 months or more, we should have more than our initial 360 million + back.
If we take that 20 million per month as a floor (500 K complaints testify, that it is a cost for an inferior workaround sollution), VHC is entitled to approx. 240 million per year for VPN infringement at least. This translates to approximately 4 US$ per year in revenues. If I reduce that by 1 US$ for operating costs and litigation, that's approximately 3 US$ in revenues per year, which at P/E of 15 translates into PPS of approximately 45.
The question remains, if VHC has enough money in the bank to hold out until it receives that money without dillution.
Am I seeing this right? Let's hope for some additional announcements from KL at CC.
